Four Wheeling at Five Mile Pass

This weekend we went Four wheeling at Five Mile Pass with my Family. We had a great time! Some rode 4 wheelers and some rode motorcycles. It was fun to watch my brothers be bats out of hell on their motorcycles. Five mile pass is surrounded by a bunch of old mine shafts. Jeff, my niece and I went on the hunt to find one. We finally did and it was awesome to look down in it. They have them covered up with steel bars and beams so you can actually walk across the hole that goes hundreds and hundreds of feet down into the earth. I was freaked out! I love that summer is finally here and that we are able to go do fun stuff like this with our families.

My brothers thinkin they look cool in their motorcycling gear!

My niece Madison and I standing over it. You should have seen my sisters face when I told her what we did!
Jeff being curious as always, throwing rocks down the shaft to see how many seconds it takes to hit the bottom!

Memorial Weekend

Well in my family we procrastinate Memorial Weekend. In doing this we end up camping in my Dads backyard! It actually was pretty fun. We made tinfoil dinners, and roasted marshmallows in the rain! Jeff and I had the party tent while all the others went to bed, we had my 3 nieces stuffed in our little 2 man tent playing phase ten. We woke up the next morning to pancakes, bacon, eggs, the whole works. It was great! Once our belly's were good and full, Jeff and I attempted a float tube fishing trip with our dog Lucy at Rockport. Even though we didn't have any luck with catching fish, Lucy made it entertaining! We brought a little raft so that she could come out in the water with us, but oh no she did not want her own raft, she wanted to sit right on my lap. She jumped out of hers swam over to mine and jumped up on it soaking wet!! It was hilarious, the water had to be freezing cold! After our adventurous fishing trip, we went to Jeff's parents for a yummy steak dinner, a great way to end a fun weekend.

Attempting to have a "green thumb"

I am crossing my fingers in hopes that these pretty flowers still look this pretty in a few weeks! We a have a little spot on our back patio where you can plant a garden so that is what we did today. We had fun doing it and Lucy had fun diggin in the dirt and then running inside of the house! (She almost got taken to a farm today!) We planted, a few tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, petunias, marigolds, snapdragons, and some other random flowers that caught my eye. I am going to try my hardest to keep them alive, but I am making no promises!

They Have Arrived!!

We got our new couches today! We ordered them six weeks ago, and I have to say it was worth the wait! I Love them and it is so nice to have a sofa and a love seat, not that i don't love sitting by Jeff, but sometimes it is nice to just sprawl out and have a whole couch to yourself!

Mothers Day

Here are just a few pictures from Mothers day. For Jeff's mom we had a service project day on Saturday and got their yard all ready for summer! It was a great idea and she really loved it. For my mom, me and my sister cooked her dinner and made her a really cute magnet board full of pictures of the family. It was a great Mothers Day! Thanks mom for all you do for me!

There goes Jeff on the Plasma Scooter! He is nuts!

This TV has a power button!!

We finally upgraded our T.V. Our old t.v was built in 1990 (you do the math) and it was missing its power button! So if you lost the remote then the electric bill was out of luck! Jeff has been looking at buying this t.v. for probably about six months now, and he was patient waiting for our tax returns so he could purchase it. At first I didn't really care about what kind of T.V. or even if we got one, but I will admit that I quite like it!!
