The Cake

It was my Dads 64th birthday this past weekend! To celebrate we had a BBQ for him on Sunday. Jeff and I got the idea to make him a special birthday cake, but not just any old cake! We made him a 4 wheeler cake! My dad enjoys his 4 wheelers and loves going on rides, so it fit him well. We were quite proud of how it turned out! Happy Birthday Daddy-O!!

In 2 more days there will be no more of this....

No more of this..... ( Bored Ashlee)

and no more of this..... ( A Bored Lucy dog, we promise to take you on more walks this summer!)

Wahoo summer is almost here! Jeff has two more finals and will be done on Wednesday. I am ready to have my husband back! I am very proud of him and the hard work that he puts into his schooling, but I am ready to have him for the summer. Jeff's typical night when he is in school is crack open the books at 6:00pm and close them and 12:30am. Does this explain way I am jumping for joy!

Our wounded pup!

On Wednesday evening we decided to take Lucy for a walk (this doesn't happen very often!) It was about 8:30 so it was getting dark. We rounded the corner at the end of our block and out runs a boxer from one of the houses he came charging toward her and instantly started attacking her. It scared me to death. All I could do was scream. Luckily Jeff was with me! He started kicking the dog. Jeff had to kick the dog about 10 times before he was able to get him off Lucy. Finally the owner came out and took the dog inside. I felt so bad for Lucy she was shaking like crazy, along with me and Jeff! Once we got Lucy back home and was able to check her out in the light we found a nice bite on her side by her back leg. We took her to the vet the next day. He put her on some medicine and then told us that she needs to where a T-shirt for a week or so until the wound closes up. It is pretty funny seeing her walk around in a t-shirt. I promise we are not one of those weird couples that dresses their dogs up in sweaters and junk. This is for medical purposes only! Once it closes up that shirt is coming off! The owner of the other dog has been really good about it and paid the vet bill. I am glad my pup is okay. I love her probably a little too much! Here are some pictures to give you all a laugh!

We got this shirt at the DI. We thought it fit her well!

Happy Easter, Happy Birthday Jeffery

He is now the big 27! So old....:) Jeff's Birthday this year landed on Easter, which was made it pretty fun. We spent Easter morning at my Mom's house and then we went to his parents for Easter Dinner. Here are some pics from the day.

Jeff searching for his Easter basket

He is so tricky, it took me a long time to find.

I had to get him a Easter Birthday Cake, since it only falls on Easter every once in a while!

Blowing out his candles!

I ordered him a tent for his Birthday but it didn't come in time. I wanted him to having something to open so I bought a little kids tent from Target and put a picture of his real tent on it.

Jeff's Mom has a tradition of making cinnamon rolls on conference Sunday. So when it rolled around year I decided to take a lesson on how to make them. So that I can keep the tradition going and make them for little family one day.

One year older

Well my birthday was this past Sunday and I had a great one! On Saturday Jeff put together a whole Bed and Breakfast thing for me. He called it the " Harmony Hill B&B". I got to pick what I wanted for breakfast, lunch and where I wanted to go out for dinner. Then I got to pick an activity for the day. We went ice skating! I also got to choose something from the "spa". He bought this whole thing of bath salts, scrubs etc and a good cd to listen to while I relaxed! What a thoughtful husband I have! I love how he so create with things!

Then on Sunday my family came up and my mom cooked me a great birthday dinner, and what is a family get together without a trip to the ER. My sweet mom wasn't feeling well and the right side of her face started to droop, so we took her to Intsacare. They told us that she had 3 of 5 signs of a stroke and so from there we went to the ER. Luckily they ran all of the tests and it did not turn out to be a stroke, but Bell's Palsy. So she was put a few different medicines and all is well. Overall it was a great 22nd birthday. I am so lucky to have such wonderful husband and sweet family! Thanks everyone for making my birthday great!

2014 Winter Olympics here we come!!
